End of Chapter 1

Hard to belive, but we spent nearly 3 years in Croatia! Saying goodbye was not easy since we had made many good friends and began to see students responding to God and growing toward becoming leaders. But overall, it was a challenging yet rewarding 3 years.

Home Assignment

We've settled in Hamilton, MT after a nice holiday time with family in Great Falls, MT (where we experienced 2 full-blown Montana Blizzards within a week of our arrival!) . Our plan for the next few months is to work towards the next chapter of our lives, which will involve fund development, speaking & recruiting in churches and at student meetings, and making decisions where to actually go next. The group in Croatia would like us back, but visa and finacial issues might make it difficult. We are considering and praying about some other countries in Europe with similar needs, and also the possibility of staying here in the US for a little while.

One of the last things we did, just a week before we left, was host another small group leaders training weekend. Eight participated, all getting involved and showing huge potential to lead their own groups. Training students to be small group leaders was one of our priorities when we first went there, and we are encouraged that we were able to do it with so many students over the course of our time there.
