Back in the USA
Hard to believe we've been back in America for over 6 months now, and STILL we are adjusting and settling in here. Part of the reason why is that we still would like to go overseas in some way--we feel like we've still got a few years of "mission" work left in us. But the financial situation here in the US is making that difficult to accomplish right now.
So, we are looking at other options as well as returning, perhaps to work a year or two while building up the partnerships we need to head back out into the field. We would GREATLY appreciate your prayers for us and our decision-making during this time!

Those long, warm days of summer have finally arrived! The boys are done with school for now--Tal is done with High School for good! He's graduated and registered to attend Montana State University this fall, studying mechanical engineering. Good job, Tal!
Meanwhile, Tal is doing all sorts of odd jobs to earn some money to pay for this college thing, and Brennen is working 2-3 days a week at a local car wash/gas station. Seth is just having a great time with friends and learning how to fly fish and all sorts of other summer antics.

In April I (Larry) had the opportunity to speak at large group meetings of students with IVCF at both MSU and UM, telling of our work with students in Croatia and what it was like there. It was encouraging to see large groups of students! I also had the privilege of attending the Montana Student Leaders' weekend in April. Again, about 40 students were there, all seeking to serve God on their campus, all excited about being a part of what God is doing.
It is great to be a part of such movements of God!
Rebecca and I were students at Montana State University in the mid-1980's, and involved with IVCF during that time. Over the 4th of July weekend I had the pleasure of meeting up with several of the students I worked with then, now over 20 years later.
Greg was a student at that time. "Okay," he asked during one conversation, "what year was it and what did we study at the first Bible Study you led with us?" I had to admit, I was stumped. "I believe it was 1985-86," Bert responded, who was standing next to me.

How encouraging that was!!
Both of these guys were new to the group at that time--one of them new to the faith--and now, 20 years later, they are both married to godly women and serving God in their local churches. Another from that group sent an email, saying he, too, was doing well, involved with his local church, and raising 3 children. How awesome it is to find out 20 years after you do something for God that it bore fruit and is still going on!
Thank You, LORD, for working in these guys' lives, and for allowing us to see the fruit of our labor for You!
